NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW)- Film crews are shooting a movie at Crumb Buns Bakery in North Myrtle Beach.
MarVista Entertainment is working on the film who makes TV movies. Some of their films have ended up on Lifetime and Hallmark channels.
Crumb Buns Bakery and several other locations in North Myrtle Beach are now the set for a “Icing on the Cake.”
The premise of the movie is a bakery owner finding out her shop is going to be torn down and unknowingly falling in love with the developer.
“I have watched a Lifetime movie or two with my wife especially during Christmas time,” said Paul Davis, owner of Crumb Buns Bakery.
Much like the title, Paul Davis said having this movie shot here is icing on the cake.
“It’s cool in the aspect of you can look at that film and say that’s your cake being represented in there,” said Davis.
Davis bought the bakery in 2017. He said this all started when he was contacted by the production company via facebook message. The company is gG It’s Entertainment based in Murrells Inlet.
“The cool part about it is the community reaction to that. On Saturday, we had customer after customer after customer coming in so excited there was going to be a movie shot here at their bakery,” said Davis.
The bakery will be open on during their regular hours Tuesday through Saturday and the crew will be back filming February 3rd and 4th.
