MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – A Myrtle Beach man was jailed after entering a woman’s hotel room and touching her while she slept.
Lt. Joey Crosby with the Myrtle Beach Police Department says officers responded to South Seas Oceanfront Resort at 1007 S. Ocean Blvd. Thursday morning around 3:40 a.m. The victim reported that while she was sleeping, an unknown man entered her motel room, to which she had left the door ajar so her roommate could get into the room when she returned.
The victim reported to police that she woke up to the man touching her private parts above her clothing. The report states that when the victim startled awake, it caused the male intruder to flee the scene. The victim was able to provide the officers with a clothing description of the male suspect and a short time later, he was arrested without incident, according to Lt. Crosby.
Terry Glenn Johnson, 41, of Myrtle Beach, was arrested and charged with assault and battery first degree.
