LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) – Publix Super Markets is issuing a voluntary recall for Publix deli popcorn chicken because the product may contain foreign material.
The product was sourced from Pilgrim’s Pride doing business as Pierce Chicken.
The popcorn chicken was sold in both hot and refrigerated cases in the deli department in all Publix stores in Florida, some in southern Georgia, southern and coastal South Carolina and southern Alabama.
The chicken was sold in stores between Jan. 17 and Jan. 31.
No other chicken products are impacted by the recall and all products available now for sale are not impacted by the recall.
Customers can return the product in question to their local store for a full refund.
