DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – A three month investigation by the Drug Enforcement Unit in Darlington County sent one man to jail and got several packaged bags of crack cocaine off the streets.
According to Sheriff Byrd, the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit and Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant Friday at a home on Orange Street in Darlington.
As a result of the search, six individual bags of crack cocaine packaged for sell and one bag of marijuana was seized, confirms Sheriff Byrd. Agents also seized drug paraphernalia that was used to facilitate and package the drugs.
Robert Earl Richardson, 41, of Darlington, is charged with three counts of distribution of crack cocaine, one count possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and simple possession of marijuana.
