CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Horry County Police have dropped the charges against a former suspect in the sexual assault of a teen in Conway.

Horry County Polcie originally reported a Conway teenager was held against her will and sexually assaulted by several men on March 12, 2016.

According to a Horry County police report, the incident happened the morning of Saturday, March 12, 2016 around 3:40 a.m. at a party at a home located Barberry Drive in Conway.

The 19-year-old victim told police that she was in the bathroom when several men came in the room, lifted her dress up and began sexually assaulting her. She told police that she told the men “no, I don’t want to do this,” but they continued anyway.

The teen said the assault lasted for nearly an hour.

Following the alleged assault, police arrested Matthew Tyler Goodwin, 25, of Conway and charged him with criminal sexual conduct first degree and kidnapping. Goodwin was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center March 12, 2016 at 9:49 p.m. Officers also arrested Javon Lorenz Johnson, 21, of Conway on charges of kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct. Johnson was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center March 12, 2016 at 7:39 p.m.

Lt. Raul Denis with Horry County Police says officers arrested  Raheen Levar Linnen, 24, of Georgetown, on Wednesday and charged him with criminal sexual conduct and first-degree kidnapping.

Diquan Rashawn Paulin, 21, of Conway, and Roman Avedis Ferguson, 20, of Sumter, were booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center Saturday, March 26, 2016. Both were charged with criminal sexual conduct and first-degree kidnapping.

On July 25, 2017, the charges against Diquan Rashawn Paulin were disposed “because the victim is unavailable,” according to court documents.
