MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A Myrtle Beach man is in jail after allegedly sexually molesting a child in January, according to an incident report from Myrtle Beach Police.

Officers responded to an apartment complex on Spivey Avenue on January 9 where a 28-year-old woman told officers that a young girl had been lured behind the apartment building the previous evening by a man, according to the report. The woman went on to tell police that the man, later identified as David Kyon King, 20, had called the girl behind the building, “squeez[ed] her butt…and tells the victim to put her tongue on his privates,” the report states.

The woman explained to police that she confronted King about the sexual abuse and he replied, “I would never do anything like that.” So the woman asked the young victim to repeat what had happened. King then “uttered a confession to touching the victim in some way,” the report states.

Police spoke with the little girl and she relayed the same story of the sexual abuse to officers. When officers attempted to speak with King, the sex crime suspect ran into the woods behind the apartment, according to the report.

King was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Myrtle Beach Jail on one count of criminal sexual conduct with a minor third degree.
