FLORENCE, SC – Florence Little Theatre presents Shrek The Musical April 22-May 1, 2016.
“Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek…” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage, and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears.
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Caroline or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire.
Shrek The Musical is underwritten by ACS Technologies and Nucor, directed by Shaw Thompson with musical direction by Robin Thompson. The cast features Blake Graham as Shrek, Cole Davis as Donkey, Anna Lyles as Fiona, and Frankie Sullivan as Lord Farquaad.
Shrek The Musical runs April 22-May 1 with performances Tuesday-Saturday at 7:30 PM, Saturday at 2:00 PM and Sunday at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone or in person at the FLT Box Office located in Downtown Florence on Dargan Street.
