CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) – A band director and teacher at a high school in Charlotte has been charged with taking indecent liberties with a student.
Multiple media outlets reported that 57-year-old Duncan Gray was arrested early Sunday. Gray is band director and a teacher at West Charlotte High School.
Records show Gray faces two counts of indecent liberties with a student.
Police have not released details about the case. It was not clear if the student attends the school.
West Charlotte Principal Timisha Barnes-Jones said Gray has been suspected as a result of the Charlotte police investigation. Barnes-Jones said school officials would have counselors at West Charlotte on Monday.
It was not clear if Gray has an attorney.
