MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A man who invited a couple back to his hotel room was slammed on the head with a toilet lid so hard it broke into pieces, police say.
When he woke up, the victim noticed his wallet, $1,275 cash, ID and black Nissan 370Z convertible were missing, according to a Myrtle Beach Police Department incident report.
The man met the couple at a bar on Friday night, he told police. He invited them back to his motel room on Mr. Joe White Avenue. That’s when the couple “turned on him,” he said. He told police he was hit on the head with something hard that caused bleeding, police reported.
When police responded to the call at about 3:40 a.m. on Saturday, they found the man bleeding from the head and his face was swollen. The porcelain lid from the toilet was broken into pieces and police believe it was used to strike the victim.
Using city cameras, police saw the car leaving the hotel at about 3:17 a.m. and leaving the city on Highway 501 at about 3:39 a.m.
The incident is under investigations. No arrests have been made.
