The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing woman.
The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Susan Dial McGirt around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
Her daughter told News13 the family is offering a $500 dollar reward for anyone with information that leads to McGirt being found safe.
McGirt is described as a 55-year-old Indian female with red hair, who is about 5-foot, 8-inches tall and 170 pounds. She is believed to be suffering from dementia or another cognitive impairment. She was last seen wearing pink pajamas and a floral print night gown in the area of 600 Mt. Moriah Church Road in Lumberton traveling towards Interstate 95.
Lumberton City Councilman and sheriff-elect Burnis Wilkins says in a Facebook post McGirt is originally from the Union Chapel area and may have been seen on foot near Carthage Road and Interstate 95 on Wednesday morning.
