CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Rescue workers removed a woman from her overturned car on Cultra Road and Jones Street at about noon on Friday.
Crews responded to the scene of an overturned vehicle with entrapment at 11:46 a.m. Only one vehicle was involved.
One woman was transported to Grand Strand Hospital by ambulance, according to Conway Fire Chief Phillip Hendrick. Although a helicopter was initially called, it wasn’t needed, Hendrick said.
No further information on the condition of the woman was available. No other people were in the car.
Authorities are asking motorists to avoid the area at this time.
