MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach police have released surveillance photos from a car break-in near the Westgate Hotel in mid-April in hopes the community can identify the two suspects.

A police report from the incident details how two suspects were seen walking in the area of 6th Avenue South and South Ocean Boulevard near the Westgate Hotel around 4:50 a.m. April 16. The duo was seen getting into a silver 2006 Chrysler 300 with Michigan tags.

A witness approached the passenger side of the vehicle and the suspects bailed out of the car and ran in different directions, the report states. The owner of the vehicle told officers it didn’t immediately appear that anything of value had been stolen.

Officers who responded to the scene were not able to locate the suspects, but released photos Thursday morning.

Anyone with information related to the identity of the two suspects is asked to call the Myrtle Beach Police Department at 843-918-1382.
