An arrest has been made in an armed robbery at a Florence convenience store.
Lt. Mike Brandt with the Florence Police Department says Zachary Deon McClain was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon at his home on Gregg Avenue.
Police say officers responded Monday night to 2074 West Evans Street, at The Breaker’s convenience store, in reference to an armed robbery.
Officers were told that a masked subject entered the store and forced the clerk at gunpoint to turn over the money from the register.
The subject then fled on foot toward Cashua Drive.
On Wednesday, investigators identified McClain as the suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest for armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
