AYNOR, SC (WBTW) – The search begins for a new mayor in Aynor, after Keb Johnson resigned from office Wednesday.
Johnson confirmed his resignation to News13 Wednesday afternoon. Johnson says “outside business interests” were a main reason for the abrupt decision.
Johnson has served as mayor since 2012 and also served on town council in the 1990s.
Officials at Anyor Town Hall would not release Johnson’s resignation letter to News13 on Wednesday afternoon.
