NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A 21 year-old man from the Cherry Grove area of North Myrtle Beach died in a car crash late Thursday night, according to Horry County Coroner Robert Edge.
The crash happened on Little River Neck Road near Victoria Falls Lane shortly before 11:30 p.m. According to North Myrtle Beach Public Information Officer Pat Dowling, a witness stated they heard the vehicle coming around the turn squealing tires, coming sideways, lost it, and struck a tree.
When the witness walked over they noticed the driver laying on the ground and called 911. The driver’s girlfriend also arrived on scene and said the victim just left Ian’s Bar and Grill and was on the way home, Dowling said.
Edge identified the victim as Hunter Mckenzie, 21, of North Myrtle Beach.
