MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Police say a Myrtle Beach man was arrested after he beat his daughter and held her to the ground and shaved off all of her hair with an electric razor.
An incident report from Myrtle Beach Police says 41-year-old Antonio Mondragon-gomez is charged with unlawful neglect of a child after he punched the young girl twice in the face when she got home from school May 24. The girl told police that Mondragon-gomez has been beating her for about five years and that during that time he has strangled her to the point that others had to pull the man off of her.
The report goes on to say that on the afternoon of May 24th, Mondragon-gomez held the girl down and with an electric razor shaved all of the hair from her head. The victim, whose age was not released, also told police of separate instances when Mondragon-gomez punched her in the mouth, splitting her lip, while they were at Golden Coral, and another attack at home happened when Mondragon-gomez told the young girl to bring him pizza, beer and jalapeños. When the child forgot to bring the jalapenos, Mondragon-gomez threw the pizza on the floor and made the young girl eat it off the ground, calling her a dog the entire time, according to the report.
The young victim told police that Mondragon-gomez said if he ever gets arrested or knows he is going to jail, he will flee to Mexico. The alleged child abuser is being held at J Reuben without bond.
The Department of Social Services was called and the young girl was placed in the custody of a safe guardian.
