LAURINBURG, NC (WBTW) – Investigators with the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Investigative Team are searching for a Laurinburg man wanted for raping a child and numerous other charges involving children.
The sheriff’s office reports on Friday investigators with the cold case team obtained warrants for Desmond Earl Knight, 43, of Laurinburg, for felony charges of first degree forcible rape of a child by an adult, and 17 counts of indecent liberties with a child. Knight also has two outstanding warrants from Hoke County from 2013 in reference to failure to appear on charges involving traffic infractions.
