A portion of International Drive will be closed most of Monday as crews perform a controlled burn in the area.
According to a press release from the City of North Myrtle Beach, International Drive will be closed from Highway 90 to Ocean Bay Elementary School beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, March 18, weather permitting.
The controlled burn is planned by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources in the Lewis Ocean Bay Heritage Preserve.
Access to the Horry County Solid Waste Recycling Facility will remain open but only from Highway 90.
The road is expected to reopen Monday evening.
