LATTA, SC (WBTW) – Two people have been arrested in connection to the shooting death of a Latta man Saturday night.
At a press conference Monday, authorities said Tommy Jones, 25 and Raheem McDaniel, 19, both from Latta are charged with the murder of 21-year-old Christopher McAllister.
Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley said McAllister died after he was shot and killed near Legare Street.
Captain Cliff Arnette said a call came into 911 before 10 p.m. Saturday night after a man went seeking help at a residence on Legare Street.
Eric Grice, a close friend of Mcallister says he had just saw Mcallister earlier that day.
“I went to school with him man. He was smart,” Grice said.
He says Mcallister was smart and well known to many in the Town of Latta.
Authorities said the motive may have been due to a feud between the victim and the suspects.
