FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – In a resignation letter with blank spaces for information like the person’s name and the date, West Florence High School principal Pam Quick said she was resigning for ‘personal reasons.’ News13 obtained the letter through a Freedom of Information Act request.

Quick had been on administrative leave before resigning on February 23. The district has explained neither her resignation nor the resignation of other school employees.

The district responded generally to “various issues” at West Florence High School in an email Monday.

“While the District cannot disclose confidential information regarding its students or staff members, we are in the process of responding to multiple requests from the media regarding these matters and we will respond consistent with the law,” the district said in a press release.

We wish to be clear that we fully support the efforts [acting principal] Dr. [Kelvin] Wymbs has made and continues to make on behalf of West Florence High School to ensure its compliance with District policies and procedures,” the district said. “To the extent Dr. Wymbs has identified any issues that needed to be addressed, he has addressed them appropriately. “
